Assuming the compression test was done
properly, the numbers tell the tale. Assuming a "leakdown check"
supports
the low compression numbers, the
engine is simply worn and nearing the end of it's normal service life.
With such engines, blackened "new" oil is short order (due mainly to
exessive blowby) is perfectly normal.
