List:
Here's how to spend the last Sunday afternoon of the year (sunny, clear skies,
68 degrees) in Atlanta:
Gather as many LBC's in a week's time as possible for a group photo on a brand
new bridge spanning the downtown interstate connector. The 17th Street
Bridge, affectionately known as the "Banana Bridge" because of the bright
yellow color of the structural beams that support it, will connect mid-town
Atlanta to a new office/retail development on the former site of the Atlantic
Steel Mill. It spans 20 lanes of interstate and is due to open to the public
on January 5th.
Thrown together by the Georgia Triumph Association, the photo op included 20
various Triumphs, 8 Mini's, 6 MG's, 4 Austin Healey's, 3 Jags, 1 Land Rover,
and 1 Rolls (not quite an LBC, but at least a BC). Group photo is posted on
the GTA web site: www.gatriumph.com. As noted on the photo, the event
"commemorated the first oil stains on the new bridge."
