Description ~ The selected individual will:
* Consult with the government on Multi-level Security (MLS)
architectures in the N/MCI and IT-21 environments.
* Analyze operational requirements and decompose into functional and
testable requirements.
* Gather and assess user-feedback for system requirements.
* Define, develop and document solutions across the naval warfare
system architecture.
* Attend technical discussions and product reviews.
* Advise the government on the technical and programmatic pro's and
con's of various MLS architectures.
* Advise the government on the technical underpinnings of existing and
potential MLS solutions.
* Provide technical reports.
* Relate MLS architectures to the N/MCI and IT-21 development and
operating environments.
* Provide lay descriptions of complex technical applications,
including Secure Linux, Trusted Solaris, FreeBSD, kernel code and HP-UX
10.26 and 11.x.
* Provide technical and engineering support for MLS components,
including trusted server, trusted path, and trusted clients.
Qualifications ~
* B.S. Degree in a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related
field, emphasis in engineering and/or mathematics.
* At least 8-10 years experience in:
* Computer Science and Engineering, including multi-security domains
and multi-level security;
* Security practices and techniques;
* N-Tiered client-server architecture and networking.
* Network connectivity and enterprise solutions;
* Department of Defense Certification and Accreditation for secure
sites and connectivity;
* Embedded system design, engineering and implementation;
* Test Engineering for systems and components.
* Significant experience in software development engineering,
including Formal Systems.
* Significant experience in Department of Defense operations,
particularly coalition operations.
* Communications skills, both oral and written, including the ability
to explain complex technologies in terms the lay persons can understand.
* U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance.
