I'd follow Dave Lieb's advice and also purchase a set of 6" Minilites
(or Mini-lite
wannabe's) to decrease unsprung weight, along with a set of Yoko 032R
(or "similiar") 175/70's (or better yet, 185/60's) and a set of lower
(1")
"heavier" front springs, while having the stock rear ones properly
attended to by a spring shop (again, 1"
lower).
Now go with a 3/4 or so front bar and
rear panhard set-up. Vary tire pressures
for oversteer/understeer and go with a
set of Peter C. shocks, upgraded for the
front, stock valved for the (lighter) rear.
This will also make a very "sticky" fun
road car (totally useless in snow, but you
don't wanna drive it in snow/salt anway,
right?).
You must be very careful of the "lowered"
exhaust system! :):)
