Hi Mike,
I don't know how deep these screws are recessed in the cover, but can you
use a dremel tool to cut a slot in them? You can then shape a screwdriver
tip to fit in this radiused slot. I've teased out other types of screws,
not torx, and broken studs with a very sharp pointed center punch and a
small hammer.
