"Triumphs handle like trucks"
I don't know about TR4's, but...
I'm not so sure. A lot of it rests with the
driver and his "comfort level" with his machine. I had buddies in high
school
with TR3's who could stay with our MGA's
on Stamford, New Caanan, Greenwich
back roads....I wasn't that good but my
buddy with his '58 MGA was...consistent
autox. winner. Sometimes I made 3rd!
The best TR3 driver was my buddy Al
Larsen. He was a little crazy but he
"knew" his machine, especially in the
corners where MGA's were supposed
to be more "comfortable".
My little brother in a Corvair was another
excellent driver of his machine...he could
hang that tail out and 4 wheel drift that
little sucker like you wouldn't believe....
very high "comfort level" in "his" machine!
