I am attempting to do bodywork outside
and my one good day to do it this week
thus far, was........yesterday.
Today, cool, humid, rainy, gray...rotten!
Removed the good BE grille and fit the
lower portion only of an old one into the
black painted opening (wherein the "deer
whistles" reside!) after cutting to remove
the upper chrome piece. On the next
nice day (probably around June 1st!) we'll
"make smooth" those "unsightly" seams
between grille and running lights.
We have a Cooper "S" chrome ident.
piece for that little hole the uppermost
stud of the upper chrome occupied through the bonnet under the AHS
round plastic emblem.
The car does have a Cooper S spec
engine tune so the chrome "S" sort of
belongs! :)
Makes the "nose" look longer and sort of Cobra-like while retaining the
unique
"Frog-eyed" look.
With triple racing stripes (narrow-void-
thick-void-narrow) this is gonna be neat,
if the weather will only cooperate so I
can get the job done before it starts
snowing again!
