But with OUT a smoke check gauge, when you see smoke, it's all gonna
leak out. Everybody knows Lucas electrics run on smoke. When all the
smoke is gone, no more electrics ;)
A Lucas Smoke Check gauge lets you know there is still enough smoke in
the harness.
Just like Lucas lamps, they are not "light emitting units" they are
darkness suckers. While they are sucking up darkness, they put out a
beam of no darkness thus makeing your way less dark so you can see. When
they fail, you will notice that they do NOT suck anymore darkness. So
without any darksuckers, all you see is darkness. This could cause you
to hit a deer, a tree, pole, another LBC, almost anything.
And yes, if all your smoke leaks out of your harness, your darksuckers
will stop sucking up!
Man you gotta get a smoke check gauge. Your bonnet is depending on it.
