Well, let's put it this way....
If you are going to use it as a toggle switch (WOT..."on" or "off") go
"easy"
on the advance rate and total, relatively
speaking.
If you tend to drive with a light foot and
"feather" or match throttle position with
"load", you can go with a "little more",
relatively speaking.
We're talking stock cam profiles for the
road, here.
The foregoing does not apply to racing
motors or those featuring long duration
cams, where you want rapid initial advance considering cylinder filling
characteristics, etc. until the cam
"comes in".
