You may just have to "unglue" and "reglue" leaving a little more slack
as
these tend to shrink with use, in any event. In other words the problem
will
most likely get worse with time.
However, you might try the following:
Pick a warmish day and get it into the
"up & locked" position.
Thoroughly soak with water (a good time
for a good thorough cleaning, anyway!)
and let it dry natually. Then soak in
ArmourAll or similiar product.
This may or may not help. If not, "ungluing" and "regluing", leaving
more
slack, is the only cure I am afraid unless
somebody else (hopefully!:) has a better
idea.
