Even though Redline (and probably Royal
Purple in terms of it's "Synchromax") added "friction" in it's synthetic
blends
for exactly this reason, you may very well
be right in your advice. Time and a little
experimenting will tell!

The reason for my use of synthetic is for
winter use in terms of "shiftability" but
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the less
slippery mineral oil provided for better
synchro. action - not at all. Makes sense.
