Kevin,
There are two numbers stamped on the diff housing at the top of the flange
that will tell you which is which. See chart below.
RATIO PINION/RING
3.7 11/41 8/77; 1500; GAN6-200001 on
3.9 10/39 1275; HAN9-77591 on;GAN4-66226 on
4.22 9/38 1275; 1098; 948
4.55 9/41
