For the best bargains on quality tools check your local paper for auctions
at machine shops! While you should be leary of buying an expensive used
machine at auction, tools can be checked adequately prior to bidding and are
usually in decent shape. If you decide to bid on a milling machine while
you're there, be sure to check the runout on the chuck head bearings when it
is warm! They tend to vary with temperature...
