Certainly a good data point, no arguing with
experience. I will say that usually drilling is done
to prevent stress cracks from propagating in
machinings and castings - it sounds like holes are
being drilled where they shouldn't be. The holes also
reduce unsprung weight, and do a good job of allowing
for thermal growth under severe conditions. 'Course
I'm a little biased as I recently bought drilled
Brembo's for the 1970 Midget (cheeeep on Ebay). The
brakes and the car are still separated by 1300 miles,
soon to be united for good.
