I had a really great pair of shoes once that really lasted and when they
finally wore out I bought a SIMILAR pair from the same shop. This pair were
rubbish and I think have been after a year I took them back and got a free
replacement. When I took that pair back after about a year the shop wasn't
too keen to replace them but did. When I wore out that pair I complained
again and got another free pair (by now nothing like the pair I had in the
first place). The shop were loathe to replace them but I explained they
simply hadn't lasted that long and to me at least the fact that I hadn't paid
for them was neither here nor there. I later wrote to the shop''s head
office to complain that I was plain sick and tired of having to replace shoes
that were rubbish and they sent me some vouchers.
I buy my shoes elsewhere these days.
