I wanted to introduce myself as a new follower of your board. I have
actually been watching for some time and find your conversations very
informative. I have been restoring autos for several years as a hobby with
my last two being a 57 Chevy hardtop for my son and a 69 SS Chevelle for
myself. My wife decided that it was her turn and she grabbed up a 79 Midget
that had been sitting for the last 12 years. My first shot at these little
cars but I have started my research and have started dismantling the engine
compartment. As usual lots of plastic bags with written instructions. I
have a Haynes manual that is of some help and I have already made some
decisions about headers, Weber etc. I am sure that I will have many
questions as I progress through this project. It is a wonderful means of
rest and relaxation.
