Bugsy is having a problem with dieseling when I shut
him off and the problem seems to be getting worse the
more I drive him. About 150 miles of driving so far
andevery time I shut him down he wants to keep going
and going. Engine is a '66 1098 that was trasnplanted
into Bugsy. Could the fact that this is an engine
designed for leaded gas and I haven't used a lead
additive be contributing to the problem. I asked this
question some months back and I was told by a number
of folks on the list not to worry about using a lead
additive. When the valve seals finally go then replace
them with unleaded valve seals.

Now I haven't started going through Chris Kottings
excellent treatise yet on Tuning 101 so other things
may really be slightly out of whack and causing the
problem. Just need to find time to dig into it. I just
don't want to cause a problem with Bugsy. Engine runs
fairly sweet, sometimes too rich, but pulls strong and
doesn't burn oil. How about everyones feelings about
lead additives and pre '68 Spridget engines.

I had some speculation about carbon buildup as Plugs 1
& 4 are clean while 2 & 3 pare all carboned up after
150-200 miles on a fresh set of plugs.
