I have successfully replaced one con rod in a Spridget engine with no problems.
Of
course the block was in good shape.
That engine is in my wife's car and still running perfectly. the only thing is
now
the con rod numbers have 2 of the same, 1, 2, 3, 2 or something like that.
But to answer you question, yes it is possible depending of what happened inside
the block.
