Hello spridgets,
hmm i was in a small town (tiny actually) that has one of
those "save everything" old hardward shops. he let us go
upstairs to "browse" the stuff that never sold (same
location since 1933!!!). Well he had this whole selection
of NIEHOFF auto parts. on a lark i checked to see if there
was anything (he HAD THE REFERENCE BOOK EVEN!!) for my
Healey there. Well, lo and behold, he had points, rotor and
COIL, all NOS. i bought the points (made in USA with a
WOODEN piece instead of Plastic) and the rotor (made in
WEST GERMANY).
Does anyone have ANY EXPERIENCE or memory of these parts?
are the any good? should i go back a retrieve the COIL?
he thought that they were all 1950's era stock.
by the way the points were a two piece affair complete with
a little wooden "grommet" and fiber washers. there were
MORE sets. i paid $5 each for the points and rotor, not
even knowing how much "new" ones go for now.
