The Realtor couldn't believe my requirements when I started looking for
a
house! I embodied the wishes of LBC owners everywhere. I kept saying
that I
didn't care how big the house was, or how many bedrooms, or the
condition of
the house (to a point), just find me a big garage.
That sounds like what I told my realtor when I first moved to Oregon,
except I also needed pasture and shelter for my horses. He managed to
find me a 3 bedroom (read 2 BR & a large closet) with a 4 LBC garage. I
found out after the fact that the next door neighbor's kid was
responsible for 80% of the residential burglaries in the area. No
problem! The first weekend after I moved in, Springfield PD, Eugene PD,
Lane County SO, and my Washington K-9 put on a little Schutzhund
demonstration in my front yard. My dog cleared the 6' barrier with about
18" to spare before nailing the agitator. The back yard had a 5' fence.
In 10 years, I never had a single prowler.
