Hello Chris,

turns out to be the rear carb for a '71-'72 GT6. With the right needle it'll
probably work OK. But no extra oomph.

CK> C. SU HS4. Someone on one of the other MG BBS's uses this in plsce of the
ZS. He used an MGA needle in it (don't know which MGA needle, though).
Advantage is that they're somewhat simpler than

CK> 1.75" single Carb

Disadvantage, it's still a ZS!

they're a little pricey, given the other things that the Midget will definitely

I have converted my 1500 Midget to dual SU4 and it is much better then
the ZS that I had on the car. Of course the ZS was old, worn, and the
had my doubts about the choke. The car seems a bit faster, and it is
much easier to start, hot or cold. Finding a manifold was not easy.
I can check my records and see who sold me the manifold.

I like it better than the ZS, but YMMV. Not sure about a single carb
but there is a guy (I don't remember who) who can convert your single
ZS manifold to a single HS44 manifold. Thing will still have the
really sharp bends, but I suspect it is a better choice.
