Good for you, Al-
It's not easy to lose weight for most
people at all; quite a struggle.
My room mate is 6' and weighed in at
nearly 420 when he first knocked on my
door about 6 years ago.
Battled weight for years. Finally went into
NYC and got his intestine "shortened and
rerouted". Operation in total ran about
20K as I understand it but then, in his
case, we are talking life or death as he
accumulated years on the planet.
That was about a year ago and since, he
has gradually lost 100lbs. He wants to
get down to his "fighting" weight of 250
or so (he's a "big" guy, used to play
football in college) and it looks like he's
going to do it, in time.
Feels much better on a daily basis; "tons"
(excuse the pun) more energy on a daily
basis. "Moves" a lot better.
