...just got back from the Bowie show.
Wow...why did they limit the field to only 400 cars.
It seemed half empty. I should have put Lil' Greenee
on the field. There were only 1 (2?) CB Midgets there at
noon.
Met Jeff Zorn (LBCARCO... typing away on his palmtop
and a few others.... sorry I'm not as old as you
thought Jeff :-) ... others...sorry I suck at remembering
names.
Faces...no problems.
Terry T.... you went blasting past me...just as we were
leaving!
I yelled to you but no response.
We were parked right on the road next to the white fence
that separated the 'for sale' field. You had to stop for the
light
right at the edge of the field before you made the left turn
onto
the main drag out of the neighborhood. Two seconds more
sitting
at the light and I would have had time to hit you in the
head with
my empty cigarette pack to get your attention.
I specifically went to hit the TRF booth for Spit parts.
After buying the cheap 'plastic chrome' trim to go around
Whitey's
windshield....what do I find on another vendors table?.....
A complete....REAL STAINLESS STEEL TRIM SET COMPLETE
WITH METAL CENTER CLIPS. WOW! for only $20.00 wow!
Damn straight I went back and returned the cheap plastic
stuff
to TRF's booth.
Beautiful day...beautiful weather. Beautiful cars.
Biff J....how did you do?
Hayden.... did you sell / get any bites on the GT6?
Did anyone notice the price tag the guy was asking for the
Red
Jag Sedan in the for sale coral? $105K
....or the beat up Bugeye with the Lenham? bonnet for $8.5K
Jeessseee..... these guys are idiots.
They'll never get those kinds of prices unless they find a
real
dolt....
Favorite car of the day... the two C type Jags..one in the
corral
and one on the field. Both were utterly gorgeous specimens.
I must have shown Whitey's Tigerwood dash to dozen or more
listers that found me. (wearing my shirt)
....time to go put some more parts on the cars.
Hope everyone enjoyed the show as much as I did.
