It is very simple:  it is not realistic to expect eBay to provide search
capabilities for an indeterminate length of time.  I am still getting search
results up to 30 days old if the keyword is in the item title!  On the other
hand, eBay is now keeping an item available for viewing for 90 days after the
close of the auction, up from the previous 30 days.  But you must have the
correct address.
