Hey Toby,
Smiths makes a real trick looking oil temp gauge (270 degrees sweep) and it even
fits the same dash hole... seen it on Ebay for about $75.
There is a good Smiths rep out of NY with great prices, but I've got his number
at my office... maybe someone else on the list knows of him?
