I really don't think you have anything to worry about.  If it is getting cold 
where you are, and it certainly is here in Abington, try this...put a small 
heat source under the car for a week.  NOT AN OPEN FLAME, but maybe a 200w 
light bulb.  This will keep the engine a little warmer.  You could heat the 
entire garage.  Note: this will not work outside!  Then start the car and see 
if there is a difference.  If no smoke, or less smoke, it is simply because 
you are blowing out the condensation.  (Y'know, when it gets cold outside you 
get dew or frost on the windscreen?  Same concept.)
