Or probably not? I was driving my Ford Ranger on a secondary road when a dog
ran into my path, requiring me to brake very hard. The ABS didn't seem to
want to "stop" the vehicle and the dog is history. Mighta been anyway, but
the ABS didn't seem to want me to stop. After the dog rolled around
underneath the truck, he knocked out the ABS system anyway--now I can drive
it without but the brake lights are now permanently on, which is a nuisance.
And they want a fortune to "fix" it and put the lights out.
