after autocrossing, hillclimbing, street driving for 26 years with lever
shocks(in the same car!) i see no reason for tube shock conversions with
possible exception for availability of proper replacements when a failure
occurs. the problems begin with badly worn and leaking shocks that have
been neglected by previous owners. the original design works just fine!
the car corners incredibly well right up to the point where the tires will
no longer adhere to the surface, with little body roll and if you need more
than that, you need a tube framed chassis with fully adjustable coil over
set of shocks . but then you need to go to the school of corner weights
and more chassis set up than most want to explore in alignment stuff!

chuck.
shocking or what!............................so like what were you expecting
from me? ............ :)
