    If, when you went to the Sears store, you behaved in the same way to
the store staff as illustrated in your last post to me in this thread,
I'd have called the cops to have you ejected.  I've never had any
problem getting a new tool from Sears in exchange for a broken one. 
Perhaps if you'd been civil to them......
