FYI - 6-8' means 6-8 feet.
The dellorto has a regular diaphragm accelerator pump, and the weber does not. 
I 
totally agree that I SHOULD be getting better MPG, and that was the whole point 
of trying different jets, is to see if I can improve the MPG, without 
sacrificing power. The main jet I was running was a 135, and the recommended 
one 
is a 140, so I don't know if it would be a good idea to go smaller there. I've 
tried various 'timing adjustments, but that doesn't really seem to affect MPG, 
only how well the engine responds.
I'm glad that you can get 25+mpg on a 100+hp engine, now if I can just get to 
25mpg, I'd be very happy.
