Sprite & Midget VIN...

Do Sprites and Midgets share VIN numbers? 

My Sprite: HAN9U 78762G
My Midget: GAN9U 73256G

so it fair to say that there are 5056 Spridgets in-between both my
Spridgets?

Supposedly they are both 69 models. And from what I can tell they seem
identical. (side reflectors and all)

So is my Midget an early 69, and my sprite a late 69 model? How many did
they produce in a year?

I am going to send away for the heritage certificates ASAP... Thanks much
