Welcome Jeff,
I also have a 72, and like the symetry of the round wheel arches. Since I also
think the earlier Midgets look more like a true "sports car", I changed mine
just a bit with the addition of a chrome grille and bug/frog eye seats. That is
only one of the neat features of these little cars - almost everything is
interchangeable.
This list has several requirements for postings. Messages must include
references to cats, dancing on tables while wearing only your spurs, something
called "Zappa", your malt beverage of choice, and a few other things I cannot
remember at the moment.
Seriously, if a lister cannot provide you with a fuel guage, let me know. There
is a wonderful source of both new and used parts very near me, and I will be
happy to provide the contact info.
