I still think, if you're going to do a major engine swap, the Mazda rotory is 
the way to go. Great power to weight ratio, can also use the RX7 5-speed, and 
modified rear end with disk brakes and limited slip, and to top that off it's 
one of the most reliable power plants ever made.
The only caveat is, it just doesn't sound right :-(
