They were called Amphicars designed by MB. They had a severe problem with
seals leaking after a little age. If you get it, make sure the bilge pump
works before you take it in the water!!! Popular Mechanics did a test report
many many years ago. They drove one off an eight foot pier at 35 MPH and it
floated!
A mint condition floater is valued around 25 K these days.
