Gotta learn not to trust dealers. Your F150's engine is a REAL Ford 4.2 V6.
Very similar to the 3.8 Ex-Taurus engine. Never any japanese blood in it.
Also Rod bearings for it are available at Carparts.com. about $43 a set. I
checked. Probably ought to change the mains while your in there. I haven't
heard anything about these having bearing probs. You never know, maybe it
was born on a Fri or Mon.
