Is your wiring harness bad, or is the switch itself bonkers? When testing
the switch from my '75, I noticed intermittent contacts. I took it apart
(though it is always risky with Brit. switches since they are tricky to
reassemble) cleaned the contacts and successfully re-assembled it. It works
perfectly now. I just want you to know it is possible to do if nothing is
actually "broken" in it. If you want to take a stab at it, I will try to
describe what to do.
