morris minor

I have a chance to get a minor (less floorboards) for $275.  I suppose I
will for parts alone.  Help me convince my wife that I should.  It turns
over, no broken glass, no drivers floorboard, sills are not in good shape,
but she looks good from a distance!  It appears has an A-series, but it says
"1000" on the trunk.  Is it really a 948?
