Neither unit is very keen on prolonged high rpm usage and ultimately this
limits power (ie a 286 cammed 1275 running at 6,500 will produce more power
and can rev to 7,000 before shifting to stay in the power which ought to be
over 100bhp)
Neither Shorrock or Judson produce as much boost as a turbo (about 6.5psi??)
One reason Shorrock and Judson engine cars seem to not produce as much power
as might be expected is that often they are fitted on a totally stock engine
when they would benefit from other tuning such as a decent ported big valve
head, performance exhaust, etc.
