Dear List: I patronized the Bristol British car flea market this morning, and came away with a Midget alternator from a '77 and a Lucas starter bearing the numbers: 250798 12 V M35G 1 4 62. The core is designated 5425 4042 12V 062. The shaft is marked 5425 3141 FR9 Given the description of the different starter units in the Victoria British catalog, it seems as though it would fit in a Midget. Is there an easy way to bench test the starter and the alternator? Regards, Charles '74 Midget cdsorkin@ix.netcom.com Bloomfield, NJ |
