Take a voltmeter and work backward from the lamp socket. Put one lead on the
battery side of the socket and the other on the ground connection for the
battery. If good, then reverse; one lead on the ground side of the socket
and the other lead on the battery terminal that connects to the fuse box.
Once you get a low reading, work your way back on the harness until you get a
good reading. If you have 12V at the lamp with the engine off you may need to
take off your sunglasses to drive at night.
