Putting SU carbs in a 1500 Midget

Hi,
  There's a guy who has two HS2 carbs with the manifold from a spitfire that
I found.  Will these fit on my Spitfidget 1500 engine, and are these the
correct ones to use if I want to switch to SU's?  If they are, then I'll
find out condition, and figure out what a good offer would be.
