You generally get what you pay for.  I would have the whole lot done and I
would have the work done at A.P.T. (aptfast.com) even if the engine was going
to be stock.

In the meantime and possibly to save some money I would put STP in the engine,
dare I say it, a washer or two behind the pressure relief valve, and not
thrash the car.
