I had this problem on Gerty last year. It seems that one of the upper rear bolt which holds the wing (fender) on had loosened just slightly enough that it was contacting the underside of the bonnet when closed. The vibration of the car at 90mph (yea, right) caused the bonnet to scrape ever so slightly on the top of the bolt, causing an ear-bleeding, blood-curdling screech. Check the bolts which hold the wing on to make sure that they are tight and seated. On mine, it was the upper rear bolt on the driver's side, just in front of the cowl.
