Evangelos:
I have an electric fan that fits right into the box behind the grill on my
60 Bugeye. The fan blades are quite thin and at high speeds the incoming
air just spins the fan. I don't think there is much of a restriction.
I am running a Geo Metro radiator (out of a 96 metro). It fits between the
radiator posts perfectly but is a little taller than the stock radiator.
One solution is to angle the radiator back a little. I modified the front
rails and bottom cross-member to allow the radiator to sit lower.
With this setup you must run a thermostatically controlled electric fan as
the pulley mounted fan will interfere with the top radiator hose.
Even in 90+ degree weather, my car runs below 190 degrees (even on long
highway drives).
