Congrats Amy, and I second Rick's opinion of the girl. My 3 yr old
granddaughter is the light of my life, although the 7 yr old boy and I share
a special relationship...the son I never had.
I had a BGT several years ago, and it was the most reliable, smoothest, and
pleasureable to drive (from a comfort standpoint) LBC I have ever owned.
The Magnettes, unless you find a totally restored version, may have some
parts problems (cosmetic, not mechanical), and are somewhat long in the
tooth for a daily driver. (flame suit on for the daily drivers of Austins
and Morrises)
What better opportunity will you find to rationalize buying a Big Healy?!
(or maybe a XKE coupe 2+2?)
Restored 3000's amd even the XKE's are in the $12-20,000.00 range. You'll
spend twice that on a new SUV. I know, I lost this argument with the wife
six months ago.
Good luck and enjoy.
