what is Diolen?

Silly question from me:

I just heard about a company in the U.K. that manufactures replacement 
bonnets for Bugeyes in fiberglass, kevlar, or Diolen. Anybody out there 
know what Diolen is? Any relation to aluminum? Is the stuff tough, soft, 
light, heavy or what?

If none of us know I'll have to call the old country and ask.
