Mike, Sorry to have to disagree on this one. On my non-standard Sprite with a competition radiator, electric fan, by-pass plugged, modern high capacity pump - I saw a reduction of 10 degrees with the big pulley when the engine was doing about 3,000 rpm in 4th, may have been 5th. I did back to back testing in identical conditions. This doesn't necessarily mean you are wrong as my engine and cooling system are far from standard. What I think it does mean is that it is worth giving it a try - especially so if you have an electric fan. I would add that once you get over about 30mph the cooling is from the airflow and not the fan. Daniel 1312 |
