Monday night I went to a near-by (50 miles) Indigenous American
casino/restaurant for their crab leg buffet. While there, I did have
some time and a couple of bucks on hand so I played a machine. I didn't
win the big jackpot but did win a smaller prize that is a one troy oz.
silver gaming coin. Now I've played this machine before and have won
coins in the past, I glanced at this one and there in all its' glory was
an MG Midget looking at me. The obverse (face) of the coin depicts a
RB, top down, window up, Midget, below are the words "MG MIDGET" above
the car is "1975" the car and words are all in raised reverse pressing
and is a very good representation of the car and some background.
Spelled out around the perimeter of the coin (in a gold band) "LIMITED
EDITION COLLECTORS'S SERIES" & "LAKE VERMILLION". On the reverse the
silver portion has a nice design and says "FORTUNE BAY - RESORT CASINO"
and the perimeter gold band reads "LIMITED EDITION GAMING TOKEN - .999
FINE SILVER" The coin is 1 7/16" in diameter and approx. 1/8" thick.
It appears to be uncirculated (it's in a plastic case). Sooooo you
folks may want to check your local casino, it's really a neat coin, too
heavy for a bezeled necklace but would look great on a money clip or a
display item.
