Ddon't have a spare - but yes, I've tried it.  It's 
the same diameter as the (later) spridget one - 1".  the 
only significant difference (besides the fact that it's 
alloy instead of iron) is that you can interchange the 
clutch hose and the bleed nipple, which is handy since the
slave now goes on the left side of the trans (and the bleed
nipple works much better if it's facing up).  

I had to grind clearance on the engine back plate (adapter),
and slot the slave cylinder mounting holes inward to match
the mounting holes in the trans.  There isn't enough room
for bolt heads, so I got allen headed bolts for it (don't
remember the size).

I paid about $40 for one from British Motorsports (in San 
Jose) about 6 (maybe 7) years ago..  Be careful with a used
one, as alumin(i)um is somewhat treacherous to rebuild
(being soft and all).

You can apparently also use the datsun slave, but it makes 
for a wicked tight pedal (must be much smaller diameter)..
