According to the HAYNES manual rear ratios on early cars are 4.22:1
then form car nos. GAN477591 and HAN966226 it changed to 3.9:1 the last
two years of midgets were 3.7:1. This is provided someone has not
swapped out the differentials of course. The gears are stamped somewhere
on the top right of the diff. 10/39 for the 3.9 and 9/38 for the 4.22.

Peter.
